A great reminder!
good video rockstar. love you miss you. -xo Annie (in miami)
Thanks Annie! Miss you too! Say hi to Miami for me! I might be speaking there in March and will let you know if I do!
Great Video, I COMPLETELY Agree with everything you said and the examples you gave. . .nothing worse than speaking with someone and for whatever reason, they are not paying attention. In my 22 years professional experience as a Health Potential Coach and Chronic Health Specialist, Listening is Key to Honouring Clients, Building Trust, Helping Them Find Solutions and Supporting them in Their Healing Journey. In the first few sessions, clients often just want to be heard, as you said. . . and so does everybody else. By the way, thanks for keeping me on your old e-mail list. . . I used to receive your e-mails many, many years ago, and I just found this one in my Inbox. . I would love for you to be part of my Community of Conscious Leaders. I am restructuring all my marketing over the next year, but feel free to get back to me at the e-mail you have for me. In Health and Wealth, Lidia
Thanks for the thoughts Lidia! I’m glad to hear that you are still out there doing your thing! Congratulations on the important work you are doing!
This was an especially good video, Stuart, and something applicable to everyone.
I will make a conscious effort to be a better listener.
Thanks Jose!
This is one of your better videos, Stuart, and one that is applicable to everyone.
I will make a conscious effort to be a better listener.
Such a great video – 100% agree. I’m not sure listening is rewarded/valued that much these days? Multitasking is rewarded. Efficiency is rewarded. I guess what you’re talking about is the reward of ‘connection,’ ‘understanding,’ and ‘not being thought of as a jerk!’….Yes, yes and yes. However, it’s an uderappreciated skill, I feel, these days (where phone and multimedia are accepted/valued). Listening acutely may be old-school? . . . But, I DO expect it from those I hang out with full-time! It’s my #1 criteria for relationships (of all kinds). Thanks for sharing – I TOTALLY relate!!
Thanks for your thoughts Nicole and I couldn’t agree more!
